What is the Cutmallow teleprompter?

The Cutmallow teleprompter is a free online teleprompter that records while you read. Paste your script, and it scrolls right under the camera on your phone or laptop so you keep eye contact. Scroll at a set speed, let it follow your voice, or drive it with a clicker. When you stop, the take opens in the Cutmallow editor to cut pauses and add captions. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is this teleprompter really free?

Yes. There is no signup, no time limit and no watermark on your recording. Cutmallow runs in your browser, so there are no server costs to charge for.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. On a phone the script scrolls near the front camera so your eyes stay close to the lens. On a laptop it works with the webcam.

Can the script follow my voice?

Yes. Turn on voice pace and the script scrolls while you talk and waits when you pause. You can also set a fixed speed, or nudge it with a Bluetooth clicker or the keyboard.

Does it work with a beam-splitter teleprompter rig?

Yes. Mirror the text for a glass rig. The camera preview can be mirrored separately.

Is my recording uploaded?

No. Your video never leaves your device. The take stays in your browser and opens in the editor when you are done.
